Stress Physicians are registered Medical Practitioners who are responsible for providing supervision to the Clinical Team during stress testing procedures. They assist in the preparation of high quality reports for interpretation by the reviewing Doctor and provide timely follow up information to referring Doctors and Cardiologists regarding positive findings. In the case of a medical emergency, Stress Physicians are responsible for providing leadership and guidance to the Team to ensure the correct responses are carried out.
Stress Physicians must hold valid unconditional registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia, have successfully completed Advanced Life Support training and hold current Medical Indemnity Insurance.
