Sleep and Respiratory Technologist
Cardio Respiratory Sleep is part of the Clinical Integration Solutions Group, a well-established, integrated private medical specialist group providing sleep and respiratory services (Cardio Respiratory Sleep) together with cardiac and vascular diagnostic imaging and clinical services (Cardio Vascular Services). You will provide a high quality sleep and respiratory service from our clinics in the Melbourne area. Responsibilities include conducting home-based sleep studies and performing a range of respiratory testing.
You will also conduct PAP and non-PAP therapy trials, including machine trials, appropriate mask selection, posture modification and other treatments. The resolution of equipment and therapy related issues and patient support within an advanced IT environment is an integral element of the role.
The successful candidate:
You will have experience in both sleep and respiratory diagnostics and therapeutics within a clinical environment and have an enthusiasm to further develop your skills. Your excellent interpersonal skills and professional, helpful and caring approach will support our commitment to the provision of an excellent patient experience.
You will be able to work independently but always within a team and your flexibility and willingness to help out and to do what is required to be done will contribute to your success in this role. A strong attention to detail is essential and you will be comfortable with technology and explaining it to patients.
A tertiary qualification in a health-related science essential. You must have obtained or be willing to work towards accreditation with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) and/or registration as a Certified Respiratory Function Scientist (CRFS), or equivalent.
This position consists of day work and requires the flexibility to work at a number of our clinics. You must have a reliable vehicle and current driver's licence.
